PATIENCE AND CARING

Today un this essay I’m going to explain the relationship between the two values of caring and patience with a story called Self-Reliance.
First of all we need to know what the two values we are presented with mean. We first have a very important value called patience, this is more of a capacity of tolerating something or someone, it is when you are going through a problem, and you can stay calm, focus, not stressed and no anxiety. For me patience is something that a lot of people lack, nowadays is very hard to find a focus and patient person. Patience is a capacity, for me, because it help people to cope through hard and difficult times.
Now we have the value of caring, caring is a very important value, because it shows many many things, it can show a person how much you mean to them, how much they value you. The actual meaning of the value caring is showing kindness and concern for others, it can also be called a practice, is basically practicing looking after someone that are unable to look after themselves, this is seen the most when people take care of sick and ill people or just old people.
Now the story’s name has a meaning too, it means to trust in yourself, to be able to rely on yourself, if you put it in a way, it can also mean being an independent person that only depends on his own self, and not other people. I find people that rely on themselves kind of lonely but also it could be a goos thing, it is caring for yourself enough and knowing yourself enough to trust in you, to just depend on yourself and nobody else.
Now I’m am going to express in my opinion how do I think the two values relate to the actual story, Self-Reliance.
First of all, patience, I don’t think that this value is reflected in the story. I think that in the story Ralph Waldo, didn’t express a little bit of patience at all throughout the story. I think he was a ver inpatient guy, he was always rushing through everything. For the story to be called self-reliance I think that Ralph was very insecure person, he was always doubting about himself and the decisions he made, we has always thinking everything twice and second guessing himself.
Now for caring I think we could se that aspect reflected a lot in the story but not in a good way, Ralph always cared about what people has to say about him, he was a very insecure person, I repeat, he was always seeking for a second opinion, he just couldn’t trust himself in anything, really.
So in conclusion I think that both of the values were reflected in the wrong way and I think that the title of the story is about how people rely on themselves, but in reality Ralph was a very insecure person that didn’t have the strength to actually rely on himself.

Hello, bye mishter…
